This year, NOACA will achieve a significant milestone... 50 years of planning and service to Northeast Ohio.
NOACA was founded in 1968 and the first organizational meeting was held on April 25. From its humble beginnings as the areawide clearinghouse for federal grant-in-aid applications, NOACA has evolved and grown into a vital transportation and environmental planning agency that preserves existing transportation facilities, improves mobility, ensures greater transportation choice and and enhances quality of life for all Northeast Ohioans. Check back often for details on upcoming ways to interact with us all year.
CELEBRATE TRANSPORTATION HISTORY!
Help us continue to celebrate NOACA’s 50th Anniversary by attending a private screening of the film “Divided Highways,” which depicts the history of the biggest public works project of all time: the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System and the positive and negative effects it had on the country it connected.
The screening also features an animated short film, “It's the Greatest Little City,” by Howard R. Maier, NOACA’s retired executive director.
Free popcorn and soft drinks will be provided, and there will be a drawing after the film for 4 tickets to the Cedar Lee Theatre (winner must be present). Seating is limited so click here reserve your seat now!
